Set a 200 KB output target for uploads that need a smaller image file. The existing compressor searches supported output quality settings and reports when it cannot reach the requested size.
A 200 KB file can suit web forms, product listings, and images that need a modest transfer size. Check the receiving site's actual limit and required pixel dimensions; file size alone does not determine whether an image will look sharp.
The compressor searches lossy quality settings for the selected JPEG or WebP format. If the source is large or detailed, the requested size may not be achievable at acceptable quality. Reduce pixel dimensions first, then compare the preview before downloading.
JPEG and WebP are available in this target-size workflow. Lossy compression can soften detail or create artifacts, especially in text, fine edges, and gradients. Keep an original copy and inspect the preview at the size where it will be used.
For a 200 KB limit, choose WebP or JPEG for photographs and keep enough pixels for the display size. The target is best-effort.
